2025 Hōʻili Hoʻoilina Training Program

Are you interested in learning more about archival work and records management? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in preserving the stories, voices, and materials that shape Molokaʻi’s legacy? If so, apply now for our Hōʻili Hoʻoilina 2025 Summer Training Program!

This paid internship is designed for participants ages 17 and up who are curious about archives, cultural preservation, and digital stewardship. Whether you're exploring a future in information science or simply want to give back to your community, this immersive training offers a meaningful way to connect with ʻāina, moʻokūʻauhau, and ʻike kūpuna.

 

Program Details

  • Dates: May 1 – July 31, 2025

  • Commitment: 320 total internship hours

  • Eligibility: Open to individuals 17 years and older

  • Compensation: Paid internship

  • Location: Molokaʻi

 

What You’ll Learn

Participants will gain hands-on training in:

  • Archival material handling & care

  • Digitization techniques

  • Metadata creation

  • Audiovisual management

  • Introduction to digital preservation

  • Contributions to the Moaʻe Molokaʻi Digital Repository

 

No previous experience required—just a willingness to learn, collaborate, and mālama ʻike kūpuna.
